Super easy claim!

This was my first claim since getting the insurance and actually my vet office submitted the paper work. I believe because Nationwide is so popular they have a standing procedure that they get it taken care of. Very happy with how easy it was and surprised how quickly I received a check. Thank you

Excellent benefits and customer service

Our dog has had a few unexpected trips to the vet and Nationwide Pet Insurance has helped us tremendously. It is a great value and they are completely easy to deal with and file claims with. The turn around time on a claim is quite swift as well. It's nice to have peace of mind knowing our fur baby is covered by great pet medical insurance without hassles.

Nationwide is a Lifesaver, Literally

I purchased pet insurance for my cat shortly after he showed up in my yard and moved himself in. He was young, but I had no idea of his history. He ended up needing major dental work a year later and was diagnosed with a chronic condition which will likely cause regular flare ups. They’re severe enough that it has meant visits to the ER, expensive tests, etc. Without the insurance, I may not be able to afford the level of care that he is receiving. I know he is getting the best care to ensure a long, happy life. This is made possible by his incredible medical coverage!

Nationwide pet insurance makes claims reimbursement easy.

This is my first pet and pet insurance plan. Once I got set up on the electronic claims processing and payments, everything has run smoothly and quickly. Submitting via email takes longer to process, so I highly recommend going the electronic route. Lots of unexpected costs associated with my pet and I was glad i decided to purchase.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
