So happy we got pet insurance!

Our new puppy pulled a sock off our grandsons foot and swallowed it. Called the vet and they said that's not good. Recommended we take the pup to the pet ER. Long story short they were able to retrieve the sock with an endoscopic procedure. Kept him overnight and he was as good as new the next morning. Having the insurance made decision making regarding different options so much easier.

WOW

I really never expected it! I had been debating wether or not to keep the insurance because I had never used it and then my little dog got an upset tummy and was throwing up and vomiting and so I took him to the vet and I file the claim and other than that the deductible I basically got the full amount back I could not believe It. And how easy and painless the process was! Because of that one visit alone I’ll never let this insurance go! Thank you so much! 🙏🥰

great customer service reps, polite, knowledgeable but takes too long to receive my reimbursements

responsive reps. THe vitus vet app is a bit cumbersome to navigate. It takes too long (up to 3 weeks) to receive my reimbursements. For seniors like me on a fixed income it is better to receive reimbursement faster.

Very happy we decided to take out pet insurance

We are really happy with the pet insurance. They settle the claims with in a reasonable time frame. Only thing we have a problem with was we took him to the vet when we first got him and he had dirty ears from the breeders and he got denied on anything involving his ears now. That’s the only complaint. We are hoping with insurance we can keep him alive and healthy for a long time.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
