Happy with Nationwide

We have had Nationwide for our dog for several years after being with a couple other pet insurance companies. It is awesome the policy covers routine visits, vaccines, flea and Heartworm medications on top of hospital and emergency visits. The customer service is outstanding and they are quick to reimburse. I just recently rescued another dog and got her signed up the day after I got her. I would definitely recommend Nationwide.

Harley Quinn is fine

Thanks so much for asking about Harley Quinn. She just went in for her yearly check up and shot. She is doing great and waiting for Christmas to come. You guys are a big help, since I’m a retired senior and on a fixed income. Also I have three dogs that are all covered by you. Your insurance really is a big help.

Checking in

Nationwide has always gone above and beyond to support our dogs. We appreciate all they do. However our lab is currently going through Heartworm treatment which is not covered because he was positive before the plan started. The email I received today stated, "glad we could help with covering the cost of the most recent visit. " Nationwide didn't cover the cost of this visit!

Nationwide is the very best, always very helpful at Customer Service.

I like Nationwide because they are truly concerned about the wellbeing of my Cinnamon. Always asking how he’s doing on any time I’ve called for assistance. I have never received incorrect information from anyone at Nationwide and everything is explained slowly and clearly which is greatly appreciated.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
