They make it pretty easy, once you know the system

The first few months with Nationwide was a little bumpy. They required eight months of medical records, and took awhile to process things. But now we're in the flow, and it's all good. Considering that my 11-year-old English bulldog seems to get one malady after another these days, it's important that the system is easy, which it is, and they pay quickly, which they do. The insurance plus deductible is about $750 a year, and I probably got a little more in payments this year than I paid.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is Great when you Need it most!

Pet Insurance = Peace of Mind! When your fur baby needs a $5,000 dollar surgery, it’s amazing to know all your focus will be on him and not on if and or how you can afford it! Bonus, we received reimbursement 2 weeks after submission! Thank you Nationwide.

Thank you for being with us

When I decided to switch to Nationwide for my dog's insurance I was afraid of doing so, I came from another company I had to leave for the ultrahigh cost and decided to take the chance with nationwide. Three months after switching Cancer came to our lives and I was terrified, but Nationwide was there for us during all the treatment. My dog Is enjoying an excellent quality of life and went through cancer thanks to you... An you are still today as the years go by, 11 years and counting... Thank you!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
