Quick, easy, and compassionate care
We have two dogs and a cat insured with Nationwide, which I had got through my previous employer and was paid through direct deposit. After moving jobs, I forgot all about switching to a regular payment plan and the worst case happened, my cat was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. We paid for everything out of pocket and did the best we could in a tough time and then called up Nationwide to at least renew our insurance on our two pups in case they got sick too. The woman at the call center not only was kind and supportive, she actually let us know as long as we backpaid the premium due, our coverage had not actually been cancelled and we could retroactively submit all of those claims. Money was the last thing on my mind as we went through our pet getting sick, but it's a reality for us. Their customer service took care of everything for us, and we can at least rest easy with knowing we're covered in any future emergencies.
