Nationwide is the best pet insurer in the world!

I have been with Nationwide since 2016 and have been very pleased every minute of the four years. The customer service representatives are so pleasant and helpful, the insurance coverage is awesome and my claims are processed so quickly it's unbelievable. It is very stressful when the pet that is loved so much and is such a part of the family is sick and unable to communicate what's wrong. Going to the vet for an illness visit is full of anxiety. Nationwide makes it all a lot better by reducing the cost and offering helpful advice.

Happy cat, Happy owner

Recent dental claim was quick and easy. Nationwide response to my claim was quick and gave me updates on the status of my claim. As a longtime Nationwide customer, I've never been disappointed with their service!

Great customer service.

After not submitting a claim in almost the first 2 years of having our dog and insurance, in the last month we’ve submitted 3! No questions asked, everything was straight forward and we got our refunds within DAYS! Utilize the VitusVet phone app and submit claims through there and get the refund electronically deposited. So much easier than I thought it would be. They actually just sent me an email to see how my pup was doing as well! My wife and I couldn’t be happier with this company and their customer service.

Thankful for Nationwide !

We had another dog who thankfully never had problems till a couple of years before she passed. She had to have surgeries around 12 years old. A few years after she passed we decided to get another dog. We decided to get insurance for her just in case so we'd be prepared. We've had to use the insurance several times and our dog is only 3. We get reimbursed quickly. Thank you Nationwide !

Excellent Service!

Nationwide pet insurance is the best pet insurance I've ever had. They cover almost anything you can think of and are quick to get your claim processed. As well as their staff is always a delight experience to deal with.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
