Lexi has an ongoing issue with multiple vet visits for over 2 months yet Nationwide expedited our claims quickly and without dispute or delay. I always recommend Nationwide when people ask. My daughter switched over to Nationwide after having a very poor experience with her previous pet insurance company. Thank you for not adding on any more stress with Lexi’s illness.

Love, love, love Nationwide Pet Insurance Plan!!

We are new to the Nationwide Pet Insurance program, but are sold! We have taken our dog to the vet a couple of times and submitted claims for both visits. The ease of filing a claim is amazing and we received our payment within just a few days. We will definitely be renewing our policy.

A Godsend

When my cat became I'll with pancreatitis there were some pretty pricey vet bills from getting him treated. The treatment was successful and kitty feels much better. It was easy to file a claim and receive reimbursement from Nationwide.

Smartest thing I ever did was switching from Banfield. I spent thousands of dollars on my last dog for blood transfusions.

I have piece of mind knowing if anything major happens to Mia. I spent thousands of dollars on my last dog for blood transfusions he couldn't process protein and we fought for 4 years to keep him alive. Mia has been very healthy - although, not too bright - last year at this time, she swallowed stuffing from her toy and had a blockage - it was expensive for the x-rays, sonogram and doctor visits. Nationwide had our backs! Highly recommend.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
