The one and only.
We have been using VPI/Nationwide as our Health insurance company for our single dog for seven years.
There is a lot of insurance companies available for pets and as it turned out. It was a very good choice to have picked these companies.
They are very fair in their claims. I have never had to contact or debate them with any problems that have come up with care. It always has gone smoothly for all these years. I wish I could say the same for my and the families healthcare.
The system that is in place now with Nationwide to submit your claim Is done by a simple email. The claim is processed very quickly. If there is any disbursement, that is direct deposited in your checking account. You you couldn’t ask for anything better than that.

Wouldn't have a pet without Nationwide
It's so easy to file a vet visit with Nationwide. I can do all of it on line and usually have payment withing a week. They are always there if I have questions regarding coding or anything else. The pay out rate has made it worth my while to have insurance. I have had this insurance since my beagle was 6 weeks old.

My cat wouldn't have been able to get the help she needed if not for the insurance. It's so costly to go to the vet. She is feeling a lot better. After the initial claim, they have paid supper fast.

Monthly Cost
Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
