Definitely an Improved Experience
My first couple of claims with Nationwide didn't go that well as far as processing time goes. It took over 3 months to have 4 or 5 claims processed with a lot of back and forth between the pet insurance and my vet. Turns out most of them had landed in a que which the claim team wasn't aware of. My experiences with my last several claims have been much better! The processing time has only taken around a week which is greatly appreciated by someone who needs claim reimbursement right away for other bills. The only thing that I would say is still a little trifling is how specific I have to be with each claim that I sent in. I sent in one without the policy number referenced in the subject line and because of this it hasn't been processed for 2 weeks now. The frustrating thing is that policy number and literally all information on diagnosis and history are on the attached claim form and in the body of the email. This means that if someone from the claim team would just open it up they would have everything they need, but since it's not in the subject line the claim isn't being processed. I'll have to call them to have the claim pulled and processed. It's just little things like that which are frustrating. Overall my whole experience with Nationwide Pet claims has greatly improved!!!
