Cost is no longer a factor in my pet's health & wellness!
Owning pets is expensive enough, but getting a new one can be daunting. Will my puppy swallow something they shouldn't before I can get to them? What if in playing they get caught under the other dog by accident and tear a ligament? The possibilities are seemingly endless, but having this insurance has taken the fear of "what if" and "how much is that [unexpected event] going to cost to take care of him/her". Nationwide makes it clear what I can expect (and depend on) from them, and is always super fast with claims. I normally have my refund actually available in my bank account in just over a week.
While it didn't make a difference in whether we were going to get a second dog, it certainly makes having a young, energetic, always-up-to-something puppy a less worrisome event, so we can concentrate on doing what's best for him and him being a part of our family, not on the what-ifs.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
