Having this service has been an amazing benefit to me and my fur baby!

I'm just so pleased with the Pet Insurance and how smooth the process has gone for me over the past year. I'm always cautious dealing with insurance companies, but Nationwide is the REAL DEAL! My claims were processed in a timely manner, and I was able to read the benefit statement clearly. I've even interacted with customer service and received the clarity I needed around my questions and concerns.

Always very profession al and willing to take the time to explain the benefits.

We started with VPI Insurance which was bought out by Nationwide. We have insured two dogs through the years. We have always found them to be very professional and willing to take the time to explain the benefits. the communication is good and payments are generally received in a timely manner.

Easy claim submission, quick review, direct deposit reimbursement - I wish my health insurance was this good!

Buying Nationwide Pet insurance is one of the smartest pet related decisions I've made. I have found the claims process very easy and convenient and the reimbursement quite fair according to the contract. Even though my dog is generally very healthy occassionaly medical needs arise, and we also have the wellness insurance which covers routine things like feel and tick protection.

I am so happy to have this insurance coverage for my dog.

I had hesitated to get insurance for my dog - I had heard mixed things about pet insurance. I finally decided to take the plunge and I am so happy i did it. It allows me to make the right decisions around my pet's health without worry. Nationwide is great. They make submitting a claim super easy and they are very responsive.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
