Everyone should have pet insurance
AFTER HAVING MY FIRST RHODESIAN AND HAVING A LATE LIFE INCIDENT I TOOK INSURANCE ON MY NEXT RHODESIAN BENIN AS A JUST IN CASE NEED THE DAY WE PICKED HIM UP AS A PUPPY. WHAT HAPPENED TO BENIN IS NOT COMMON ACCORDING TO THE SPECIALIST CARE HE WAS UNDER. THE INSURANCE WHEN I CALLED AT THE START COULD NOT ACTUALLY DEFINE WHAT AREA THIS WOULD FALL UNDER FOR COVERAGE. i WOULD NEVER EXPECT FULL COVERAGE BUT WAS GRATEFUL FOR WHAT NATIONWIDE HELPED MY FAMILY WITH ON COVERAGE AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR BENIN. THE ISSUE THAT I AM CONFUSED ON IS WHY THE MANDATORY BACTERIA SHOTS WOULD BE 100% COVERED ONE WEEK BUT NOT THE NEXT? IT IS THE SAME SHOT MANDATORY TO CURE HIM AND NOTHING CHANGED ON WHY HE HAD TO HAVE THEM. INSURANCE IS CONFUSING HUMAN OR PET. THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE GIVEN BACK AS IT WAS APPRECIATED AND TODAY I RECEIVED MY FIRST CALL FROM THE SPECIALIST THEY MAY HAVE STOPPED THE BACTERIA FINALLY AFTER SEEING THE CULTURE. ONLY TIME WILL TELL!

Thanks so much for helping Chickadee!
Chickadee hurt her leg, and it was after our vet's hours, so we had to go to the emergency vet. They took x-rays and determined it was a soft-tissue injury. It was really comforting to know we could go ahead and get the x-rays and exam, because we had such good insurance for her. She's all better now! And I'm very glad we had Nationwide for her!

Love the coverage
I was amazed to see how quickly and completely are refund came to us. We recently adopted a GSP pup to find out he never had his puppy shots completed. We are very fortunate to have Nationwide that has completely reimbursed us for his puppy visits.

Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
