Wonderful insurance!!

Nationwide cares by efficiently approving and following up on pet health maintenance.

With the app, we are able to submit our claims and Nationwide provides timely updates, confirmation of coverage (& how much), and prompt reimbursement. I have been very appreciative and comforted by their pet support!

Wish all my insurance claims were this easy...

I am so pleased with Nationwide's Pet Insurance, particularly the mobile app! My claims are processed within 1-2 days and the money is on the way to the bank! I've got Nationwide Pet Insurance on both my schnauzers -- a breed that tends to have a lot of tummy issues. If I was paying their total vet bill out of pocket, I wouldn't be able to afford to keep them both. It's a real relief when I take them to the clinic for an emergency, knowing that I don't really have to worry about how much it's going to cost to get my little ones well again. Great job, Nationwide!

Nationwide is the very best insurance company for my pets.

Nationwide/VPI is the best insurance company for my pets. They are very easy to work with excellent customer service and the coverage is great. way better then any insurance company I have used for me and the family!

Easy claims. Great coverage

Basic coverage for our Poodle-something mix has been great at a reasonable monthly cost. Filing claims online is easy and reimbursement is quick.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
