Great pet insurance so far....

We chose Nationwide because of a connection with my husbands work, and we are so far happy. We had two unexpected illnesses lately, and had no problem filing claims and getting a refund. They did ask for all vet records, which is a bit tricky because our dog is a rescue, but I feel they will be accommodating. One point of contention was that they determined our dog's Kennel Cough to be a preexisting condition. He got sick right after we adopted him and he was with a foster until we could pick him up. This was previous to us getting our policy. This is a pretty common illness, so that is a bit troubling. Otherwise, a good experience so far.

Wish I would of had insurance for my last dog.

I have loved having the peace of mind that comes with this policy, I wish I wouldn't of let anyone talk me out of insurance for my last dog. The claims are easy to file and so far I have been refunded 90% of everything that I have spent over my deductible. The refund is always quick to follow. I think I only waited longer than a week for one of them and that was because they needed additional information from me. I thought that it sounded to good to be true at first but so far it has held up to it's word. I have recommended this to all of my friends and family and even people waiting at the Vet.

Thank you! You guys are great!

In mid November, I raced Max to the ER at the U of Mn. He was fine on Saturday, and the next morning very very ill. He was diagnosed with IMHA, a deadly form of anemia. He was in intensive care for almost a week, and was not expected to live. If the 3rd transfusion hadn't worked, we had plans to make an emergency trip to Fargo for further treatment. The bill was many thousands of dollars. Nationwide paid promptly, I am so grateful. Max continues to have checkups every two weeks, and while not out of the woods, the prognosis is better. Thank you Nationwide!

We have had pet insurance since 2001

Like people insurance, it is a good safety net.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits
