Very Supportive

Very glad I purchased Pet insurance thru Nationwide. They are always available when disaster strikes, day or night, process my claims with ease, and always follow-up when my dog(s) are sick. Love the coverage, and love the people behind the scenes.

Such an easy process!

Dealing with emergency surgery for our pup was stressful enough, not to mention expensive, and on top of it I was worried about how big of a pain it was going to be to submit a claim and how long it would take for reimbursement. This was our first experience filing a claim with Nationwide so didn't know what to expect but it was so easy! Filing the claim and supporting documentation through the app was a breeze and so quick. Then the claim was processed and reimbursement sent within just a few days of submission. I was so surprised as I expected it to take much longer. It was a great experience start to finish!

Great Insurance Company

Nationwide is always there for us to help with our dog's claims. They are caring and efficient in handling claims. The insurance itself is wonderful, it is very easy to send claims in and the claim check is delivered quickly. They follow up to check on my dog's health after sick visits and are friendly and easy to deal with on the telephone. I highly recommend Nationwide pet insurance!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
