Easy Quick

The claim was quite easy. I used the Vitusvet app and it was as simple as uploading the invoice and making the appropriate selection (Pet, visit type, hospital and amount.) A few days later the reimbursement was deposited to my account. (Electronic deposit was previously set up, and I recommend you do this step)

A Huge Help in Times of Crisis

I was a little skeptical of Pet Insurance at first, especially when I didn't need it at all during my first year having it, but this year is proof that Pet Insurance is a definite must. If it wasn't for NationWide Pet Insurance, I would have had about $2000 in emergency vet bills this year, and we are only half way through it. That is a hard pill to swallow even when the world is not in crisis mode. I am very grateful for NationWide Pet Insurance. Please keep watch over my fur-child, while I keep an ever closer one. Thank you.

Great coverage

I appreciate how quickly Nationwide Pet Insurance reimburses my vet bills. The vet's staff I have also says that this is a wonderful, no-hassle insurance company. I've been so grateful to have pet insurance for both of my little dogs through Nationwide. It has definitely been worth it!

Outstanding!

Am very happy with how easy it was for me to file a claim. Reimbursement was fair and accurate within the guidelines of my plan package. Monthly premiums are also fairly priced.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
