always there for Fiona when we need them. I budget out my payments each month and I don't have to worry.

Having this decision has allowed me not to ever put off or not provide my dog with medical care because of the cost. I budget my monthly payment and have never been turned down. This includes well visits, preventative care and unexpected illnesses.

So far so good

We've had Nationwide Insurance now for about 4 years. So far we're pretty happy and would recommend. Very easy to make a claim and the check comes in the mail. I can't compare with any other pet insurance company since this is the first and only one I've used. But overall, if you want peace of mind, pet insurance is good to have, especially as your pet gets older. Thank you.

Best no-brainer decision I've had to make for Barley, paws down!

My 14 mos old golden, Barley, comes from a very distinguished lineage of multi World Championship Hunting Retrievers and there is never a question of "if" he goes to the Vet. I have piece of mind knowing his Wellness Check ups are going to be covered and when he recently had a 3 mm puncture wound to his front paw, my husband didn't even hesitate taking him in to be seen. Barley loves his Vet & we love knowing he is getting the best care possible irregardless of the cost. I have to admit, Barley has better insurance coverage AND at a better rate than my husband or I. No-brainer!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
