MetLife | Pet Insurance Review

My policy includes preventative care coverage and my claim for anal gland expression was denied even though it is specifically listed under preventative care. The reason for denial is not clear on the EOB so I called customer service learn that I would first need to see the Vet and have the Vet recommend the procedure. I agree with that for standard policy coverage. The preventative care coverage does not state that I first need to see the Vet. The appeal process is complicated and designed so that customers will decide it is not worth the hassle. Poor customer support and service. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I have been so pleased that I am. It is super easy to file a claim, and you are reimbursed quickly. Even when my dog had an emergency overnight, it was no hassle.
