MetLife | Pet Insurance Review

My wife and I took in a stray cat in summer 2025. The cat was estimated to be about 6 months old. She is the sweetest cat but has had a number of health issues literally since the day we took her in. We have two older dogs and never bought pet insurance for them but decided to for our new kitten. MetLife has been nothing but easy to deal with in our 3 claims in the first year of the policy. Having this coverage has made these health issues much easier to deal with. MetLife has added zero stress to the process and has alleviated a lot of potential financial stress with straightforward instructions, submission process, and timeliness of reimbursements. We will definitely be extending this insurance when it's time for renewal.

Met life was amazing. We lost two pets and they were so helpful and thoughtful throughout the process.

(1) Difficult to update refund payment options (it is an entirely different website, but that is unable to be found until you call). (2) The form to submit claims is not easy to use- Not editable & need to download to sign/date, etc.

It was simple to upload all the required documents and I was surprised/relieved to discover how much of the bill was covered. It restored my faith in having pet insurance
