Easy & fast!

This was my first claim with Lemonade. It was just for a routine vet visit with blood work, shots and a check up. I filed the claim sitting in traffic - on a Saturday - on my way home from the vet & I was helped and my claim approved almost instantly. It was so quick and easy, I was shocked. This sounds like a paid for review, but I promise it’s not - they paid for everything except her pre-existing condition needs, which was expected. I definitely don’t regret buying pet insurance and had been on the fence for years. Glad I found lemonade!

Could not have been easier.

Recently purchased pet insurance for my senior dog and made a claim for the first time. The process was super easy using the lemonaid app. You answer a few questions, upload an invoice and receipt and literally the claim was processed and approved in seconds. The reimbursement was in my account the next business day. Could not have been happier with the process from start to finish.

Ease of Use is Great

Lemonade has been terrifically easy to use. I just open the app and upload my claim. I have the money quickly too.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
