Professionalism

As a first time pet insurance policy inquirer, I’m glad I did my research. I discovered that Lemonade was rated “Top Notch” and the reviews were 100% positive. Lemonade Pet Insurance ROCKS!!!

I brought home a new puppy and wanted to get her insurance right away. After days of research, I found the Lemonade had the best price for what I was looking for. I was able to add a wellness plan to her policy, so all of her vaccinations, testing and blood work would be covered. She is a rescue, so I wanted to make sure she was able to get all of the testing needed to ensure a healthy life. I needed help answering a few questions about claims and after emailing Lemonade, someone got back to me same day. I was able to submit my claim and it was paid and pending in my account within hours! Thank you Lemonade!!!

No Games, Easy Claims

The coverage offered is great! Best coverage I could find for the price. My policy isn't filled with tricky loopholes and exclusions. The claims process is easy and quick.

So easy and helpful

My dog threw up some chicken bones, and I was worried that she may have more in her, or that there was damage. She had to rush to the vet for x rays and treatment. Knowing I have lemonade insurance helped reduce so much if the stress during that time. They processed my claim quickly and easily, and communicated well about how the claim was covered. I will always keep this insurance for my pets!

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
