Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I adopted my pet and not long after, she needed surgery. This is the first pet I purchased insurance for and boy was I lucky to find Healthy Paws. After looking into several, I chose Healthy Paws and I could not be happier with that decision. My dog has issues as a result of the surgery and HP has been there every step of the way for us. Since her meds are a result of the surgery, they cover her meds and I submit my claim every six months (my choice, not theirs). My very first claim was over $22K and if you have a claim over $2K, I believe they will work directly with the pet hospital. They are just wonderful and I tell everyone of my experience, not to let people know I've spent over 45K to date and HP reimbursed, quickly I might add but to let people know pet insurance is NOT a waste of money and you never know what is going on inside your pet. As for a wellness plan, I feed my dog quality food,(Just Food For Dogs) get her vaccinations and nails trimmed (VIP), pretty much take care of her. Just do it!!

They have not only never balked at any of the 92 claims and counting, they email every now and then to check on her. HP really cares. Healthy Paws has been great for us. I got it when my two cats were kittens and the process for getting claims processed is incredibly easy and clear. They helped us out with some incredibly expensive end of life care for one cat that was a result of surprise event and that freed us up to focus on whether the medical care was the right choice for the cat to limit his pain without worrying about bills. Healthy Paws customer service is excellent. I wish health insurance for people was this good.

Amazing customer service and very fast claims processing! Having this insurance is worth every cent we pay and really puts our heart at ease. They not only process reimbursement fast, they also follow up with inquiries about our dog's health. Highly recommend!
