Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I was definitely one of those people who thought pet insurance might not be necessary at first. But with three very curious kittens, the odds were stacked pretty high against me – so I decided to do some research and get my kittens insurance just in case. Healthy Paws seemed to offer the best bang for my buck, so I enrolled my kitties with them, sent in their initial medical records to activate their plans, and kinda forgot about it. Cut to a few days ago, when, lo and behold, one of my kittens somehow tore the felt ribbon off his Cat Dancer Rainbow Cat Charmer and ingested a good chunk of it. We rushed him to an emergency pet hospital where they did an ultrasound and confirmed that he would need to have surgery. Unfortunately they didn't have a surgeon and he needed to be transferred to a different hospital. In total, the cost of both emergency visits was right around the $6-7k mark. Immediately after our kitty's discharge from the hospital following surgery, I filed claims for both hospital bills. But within three days, both claims were processed and my direct deposits was paid out!! This has been a thoroughly stressful experience for all of us, but Healthy Paws has helped to alleviate some of that stress. What's more, they reached out after our claims were processed and asked about our cat's health. Really stellar customer service, and I'm so glad we signed up with them. I'll be recommending them to all my pet owner friends!

After 3 months of being with Healthypaws my dog fall and had to undertake surgery. I have to say that I was positively surprised by the efficiency of the insurance, they covered 80% of the vet expenses which was a humungous help. The response rate was fast, it took them around 4 days to process the claim. The first claim took a bit longer because they required the health history of my pet ( that my veterinarian forwarded to them). A couple of days later they send me a follow-up email asking how my dog was feeling, that was very thoughtful. So far I'm very pleased with them.

I can't talk highly enough about Healthy Paws. My 2 dogs have been with them for 5 years and they have covered thousands of dollars in vet bills and never a single question asked. Their mobile app works flawlessly, their customer service is top notch. I'd highly recommend Healthy Paws to anybody looking to get an insurance for their pets.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has been very helpful. I've been a customer for a couple year, but never had to use it til recently. The process was quick and easy - the phone app is so helpful and the reimbursement was super fast, as well. When a pet isn't feeling well, it helps when the insurance company is easy to work with.

I have never had to file a claim til recently and it was so easy. The phone app makes it so quick and easy, it literally took a matter of minutes to complete. Within a week, the reimbursement was mailed to me - that time included them verifying with the doctor, etc... They even checked up to see how my dog was doing which was very thoughtful.
