Reasonable Rates, Easy Claim Submittal Process, Fast Claim Processing, Efficient Reimbursement

I have had HealthyPaws insurance for my two cats for years. I think their rates are very reasonable and they always send nice notes on their birthdays. Unfortunately this year one of my cats had his first (and hopefully last) major surgery and I had to submit a claim to HealthyPaws. I was honestly skeptical that the process was going to be as easy as they said (call me jaded because of how hard it is to submit healthcare claims for people). After going through the process, I'm happy to report that it really was as simple as they say (maybe simpler). My claim was approved in a timely manner and there were no "gotchas" in processing.

Awesome claims service!

HealthyPaws came through on a large claim for our poor 4 year old pup who needed major surgery on both hind legs. Highly recommend them.

Very Good Insurance, costs more, but it’s worth it!

Helpful and kind. The people at Healthy Paws have been wonderful through my dog’s illness. I wish my own medical insurance was as accommodating as my Labrador’s!

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
