Great first time experience

I have a 4 month old pug puppy that had an unknown allergic reaction and had to spend the night in the emergency room. Healthy Paws processed my claim the same week that I submitted it and I received payment towards my bill the following week. Excellent customer service both during and after the visit. I wish I didn't need to use them so quickly but I am glad they were there when I needed them.

Horrible Service

Tried to defer my insurance due to the pandemic. Healthy Paws refused to defer and charged me several month until I asked for a cancellation. They will do whatever it takes to take your money and avoid payout.

Healthy Paws saved the day!

I signed up for the insurance back in February. I was hoping never to need it but figured it was a good safety net. In July my dog was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes needing surgery. The cost was over 4,000, and I was thinking that the insurance may try to find a reason to deny it. We did the surgery and submitted the claim. A week later my 90% reimbursement was approved no problem! I was so pleasantly surprised. I've had a loss of income due to Covid, and this has been an amazing experience. Thank you so much Healthy Paws!!!

Healthy Paws saved the day for me!

After only 5 months of being a customer of Healthy Paws, my dog was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. He required surgery costing almost $4,300. I've lost income due to Covid, and this was a cost I was definitely not expecting. I submitted the claim, and less than a week later it was approved! I thought there may be some kind of issue, but they approved it no problem. Thank you so much Healthy Paws!!!

Healthy Paws has been a wonderful choice for our family. Claims are paid promptly and accurately. Healthy paws has helped us get much needed medical care for our furry family member with little concern for the cost, just concern for our sweet doggie.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
