Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I got Healthy Paws insurance before I adopted my dog Dory because I read that they had the least ‘strings attached’ and were easy to work with. I have to say I was not disappointed!! Shortly after we got Dory we realized she had a breathing issue and needed surgery to get her soft palette reduced. I was nervous they would count it as a pre-existing condition even though it was a new diagnosis but they processed the claim within a week and refunded me accordingly! I was ecstatic. It is such a relief to have Healthy Paws insurance to help me provide the best care possible for my dog!

I LOVE Healthy Paws! My dog has used their insurance twice in the past 4 months and he’s 6 months old! Lol! The most recent visit was just over 5600 dollars to repair a fractured back leg after Eli got the zoomies and ran off a 5ft retaining wall while vacationing in Colorado! I ended up paying just over 800 to save my dogs life! I would have lost him that day as a lump sum would not have been affordable. These things happen so quick! I could feel his speed would get him in trouble at 10 weeks old! Little did I know this would have been the outcome!!!! I had my money back in my account in 6 days from the start of the claim! I’m super impressed! Thank you for giving me years more with my precious Eli! They even checked up on him a few times! Made it personal and special!!!!

At 6 years old, my little Pitchoun unexpectedly fell ill and had to have a major surgery. He stayed several days at the veterinarian hospital and bills started to pile up. Healthy Paws Insurance has been so easy to deal with in these times of stress. I don't know how I could have gone through this terrible ordeal without them. Not only did they reimburse each bill in a timely fashion, but they went the extra mile, even checking on my cat weeks after the surgery to make sure he was doing fine. Dealing with Healthy Paws Insurance is like dealing with a friend or family member. The service is very personal and it is exactly what a customer needs in times of trouble. I am recommending Healthy Paws Insurance to all my friends who have pets, and will continue to advocate for this wonderful company. Healthy Paws and us go way back... back to the beginning when our pup was only 3 months old. He's 5 now and we've never once had anything coverable by this insurance, (because they only cover select issues). We have however, had our premiums increase OVER 160%, that's a hike of about $1,200 annually. The only response I received when I questioned the enormous increase was that - "there were many other animals within our state that they needed to cover". They will lure you with a low payment up front and quickly jack your rates up without notice and soon you find yourself spending thousands for nothing. Avoid at all costs.
