Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

This Insurance Company is determined to reduce their numbers of elderly pets by raising their rates so high- from $66 to $208 a month on my cat that had the plan since 2020 and never cost them a cent so that they are literally not affordable. Also now 5 years later when my cat has arthritis , which could be considered pre- existing condition makes finding another reasonable plan impossible to find.

Started at a reasonable price per month for my 2 cats. Every year the monthly cost went up $5-10.I have never made a claim. After around 9 years, just got a notice they are raising my premium around 300%! For no reason, when they advertised to enroll your pet at early age so you would not have these type of premium increases. Putting the money in a savings account rather than paying them any more, crazy scam.

I've had Healthy Paws insurance for my dog for the past 12-13 years and I'm glad I chose them so many years ago. I appreciate that they make the claims process simple and reimbursement is quick!

I highly recommend insuring your pet with Healthy Paws pet insurance. I have had this insurance since my dog was a puppy, and I didn’t need to use it until recently. A couple of months ago, my dog was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. Healthy Paws has really helped us a lot. They have covered all her diagnostics, surgery, and chemo treatments. This has saved us over $14,000 so far. The company has been great to deal with. The way it works is you pay upfront at the vet and then send in the bill to Healthy Paws and they reimburse you for a percentage of the cost based on which plan you have. We were able to choose our vets and get treatment immediately without needing to wait for any preapprovals or anything.

We’ve been with Healthy Paws since adopting our fur baby (Kyla - a beautiful tripod dachshund) in 2017 and couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Unfortunately our baby girl has had multiple health challenges including treatment for 2 bouts of cancer and an amputation - very challenging times for our whole family. But Healthy Paws has been simply fantastic in supporting us in these incredibly difficult moments. They are professional but friendly and so efficient in always resolving our claims very quickly and with no hassle. While I wish we never had to make use of the policy, I’m so so pleased we went with such an incredible company. Big thank you to everyone at Healthy Paws - you’re the best!
