Healthy Paws is Fast!

Our dog Bernie had to have surgery for a tumor on his eyelid. We submitted the claim to Healthy Paws, and our check was sent to us in just over a week. Submitting a claim to Healthy Paws couldn't be easier, and they are fast and efficient for their customers!

Life saver...literally

I ended up with a lemon of a dog. He’s the cutest lemon I’ve ever met, but he has developed a plethora of problems. Some are fixable and some are life long requiring maintenance that is quite pricey at times. I would never have been able to keep up, let alone have been able to have afforded the diagnostics that he needed. Here he is though living his best life happy as can be...just a little crooked.

Healthy Paws uses every excuse to NOT pay a valid claim

I have had this pet insurance plan since 2017 and have never submitted a claim. My dog needed eye surgery for a non-pre-existing eye growth that was first found in early 2019, well after I purchased the policy. Health Paws has done everything to not pay this claim including asking for medical records numerous time even after my vet has already submitted everything they had. Healthy Paws emailed me numerous times saying that they received medical records, but asking that a claim be submitted. Their claims department is ludicrous and the examiners do not know what they are doing. They keep increasing rates, but use numerous tactics to avoid paying claims. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PET INSURANCE PLAN!

Great Coverage So I Can Care for My Senior Dog

When my pet insurance was going to double their prices, I hurriedly looked for new coverage for Dot, who was ~10 at the time (she's adopted). I was worried about getting affordable coverage given her age. I had read good reviews about Healthy Paws and decided to take the plunge. As Dot entered her senior years, she remained healthy and happy, enjoying long walks and her agility classes. 2020 was a nightmare. After taking Dot to the vet for what looked like arthritis, it turned out that she had kidney disease and she was hospitalized for a week. She was hospitalized four times in 2020 for various GI issues. The claims process was relatively easy (sometimes there are miscommunications since you're simply uploading documents) and great coverage from Healthy Paws helped me focus on giving Dot the best care instead of worrying about the paying off vet bills. Fingers crossed that 2021 will be better! Thank you Healthy Paws!!
