Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

If I could give them 6 stars, I would! Healthy Paws has truly amazed me. I was in complete fear that they might drop me after my 10.5yr Labrador became very ill and had to undergo a liver biopsy, which included a 3 night stay at a costly ER vet.... I had heard stories from people with other pet insurance that were dropped when these big ticket expenses came up, but Healthy Paws stuck with me the whole way!! Their online portal is extremely easy to use. I uploaded my invoices in a matter of seconds. My claims were reviewed within 1-2 days, and my reimbursement checks arrived very quickly. Knowing they were covering a lot of the costs gave me huge peace of mind and the ability to focus my attention on my dog, and making the best health choices for her regardless of price. She's now doing better than ever! I was also very touched to get a personal email from someone at Healthy Paws saying how sorry they were to hear about my dog's illness, and wondering how she's doing. That little bit goes a long way in showing top notch customer service.

I have a 5 year old Boston Terrier and have had health Paws insurance since i've had my dog. I've never filed a claim or anything and have a couple small rate increases. No big deal & I understand. Today I received an email that my rates will be increasing from $45 a month to $98 a month. I think this is crazy! No explanation or anything. I understand when rates go up a few dollars a month but to more than double my premiums is just wrong. I will be looking for a new company to give my business to.
