Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Horrible company!! I’ve had this insurance for my dog since 2015 and I paid $45 a month. Slowly throughout the years the payment has increased which is to be expected even though in 6 years my dog has never had any serious medical issues and I’ve only made two claims. now they have raised my monthly payment from $80 to $140!!!! Their reasoning was because the cost of services in my area. The only problem is that when I went to their website to get a new quote as new customer I was quoted $79 a month! They are scammers. I also got quotes from other pet insurance companies and was quoted even lower than that. This company doesn’t even cover dental for all that they are charging you. Maybe 5 years ago This was a good insurance choice for your pet but now this is clearly a company that is going downhill in service. You can see from their response that they clearly don’t care lol. If they really had fair pricing then why does Figo pet insurance charge way less for the same area. Figo also covers dental!!!!!! Save yourself the trouble and don’t use healthy paws. They don’t actually care about their customers.

I have had Healthy Paws Insurance for my 11 year old Yorkshire Terrier For 10 1/2 years. At age 4 her trachea collapsed and she needed a stent or she would have died. It cost $ 5,000 and Healthy Paws paid 70% minus the vet (doctor) fee . That was 7 years ago. She needs to have X-rays to check the stent and check ups every 6-9 months. Since the stent has been in place she has had numerous infections and has to take $200 worth of medications each month. Healthy Paws only once took about a month to process a claim. They are usually processed within 2 weeks. If I did not have Healthy Paws. I could not afford all the vet care my dog needs. They allowed me to pay for the procedure that saved her life and made it so we can have her and love her all this time. I am so grateful for them, it was one of the best decisions as a pet owner I have made purchasing this insurance. I recommend it to all my friends and my rescue buddies. If would not own a pet without it.

My dog is recovering from double cataract surgery, and her progress after 2 weeks is great. Her eyesight has been restored, thanks to a skilled veterinary ophthalmologist. I would also like to thank Healthy Paws for coming through for us and covering the considerable expense of the surgery.

We rushed her to the hospital where they put a stent in which cost over $5,000 and healthy paws covered 70% less the veterinarian’s cost. That was 7 years ago. If not for healthy paws we would not be able to afford her care. There was only one time where it took 30 days to process a claim but other than that claims are usually processed within a week or at the most 2. I have recommended Healthy Paws to many of my friends as I am that pleased with them. They make the decision to care for my dogs easy without the worry of medical bills.

I have had healthy paws for 11 years and they have always taken good care of my dog in a timely manner! I have never had a problem processing a claim, despite large& frequent procedures. Given my dog is almost 12 years old, the premiums are very reasonable.
