Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

So glad I took out insurance on my dog Blu thru Healthy Paws. Blu suffered a torn knee ligament in both kness several months apart. Healthy Paws handled my claims without any problems or issues. They covered all expenses related to the surgery. The claims were approved and a check mailed very quickly. I highy reccomend Healthy Paws and having pet insurance. Both surgeries were in the 5K range.

Healthy Paws made the claim process seamless and I had no issues or problems getting my claims approved. Payment was very fast and Healthy Paws covered all aspects of the surgeries. Our puppy Stark had an incident that landed him in the hospital for 2 nights, and Healthy Paws had our back! They covered everything they said they would, per our policy, which saved us over $3,500. The claim process was seamless - all they needed was an itemized invoice (simple upload) and the doctor's records (simple phone call to the vet; they emailed the records; we forwarded them to Healthy Paws). We went back-and-forth on what pet insurance company was right for us, and I couldn't be more happy/relieved that we chose Healthy Paws. Customers for life!

I really like that I can provide my pet exceptional medical care without having to worry about the cost. Claims are processed quickly, customer service is polite and caring, and I've never had a claim denied (that fit the claim parameters). My deductible is low, and the company does a great job communicating any changes or updates to policies. I'll be sticking with them!

We were enrolled with them for almost 2 years. Our cat one day started to cough pretty badly, so we brought him to the hospital. Luckily it was nothing, he was just dehydrated, and recovered very fast. So we submit all the documents to claim the payment back from "Healthy Paws". After a back and forth of many phone calls where they asked for any possible document our cat ever produced in his entire life, they declined to pay any moment. The reason: when you enroll a pat that is 6+ years old with them you need to have a veterinary test that is 30 days prior to the enrollment date. Our was 6 days too early, so basically we were paying for almost 2 years a lot of money to the company but we didn't have ANY coverage. Basically what these people do is that they check you only when you claim something, and they look for ANY small detail to avoid paying you. you could pay for YEARS a service that you don't even have. And of course, they have no intention to refund you the fact that you pay for a service you didn't have. Crazy. Healthy Paws is literally just a scam, and I wish I had the money and the time to sue and bring them in court, cause I'm pretty sure this should be illegal. If you google this company, you'll see they already lost a class action about something unrelated, I won't be surprised if another class action starts soon for people who are having the same problem. Thank God we had the money to pay out of pocket for our cat.
