Stellar Company
I'm very pleased with my experience! I have to admit I was skeptical about insuring my cats at all as they're usually pretty low maintence after their kitten phase. I've also heard of so many insurance companies 'claiming' to cover but then not paying out. Boy am I glad I listened to my gut when choosing Healthy Paws!! The plan itself is definitely affordable every month and with a low annual deductible, 90% coverage and no caps or incident limits, it's been worth every penny! One of our fur babies is not even two and became really ill with what seemed to be a bacterial infection with unknown origin. Our vet took care of him and Healthy Paws took care of us! Service was realtively swift and when I had to call in with questions they were helpful and quick to answer. The follow up to check in on how our cat was doing even after they settled the claim was very sweet and shows how stellar their customer service really is!

Trash
Trash. DO NOT recommend. First, the rate goes up every year and its expensive. Second, so far not worth it. Let me tell you a story. Three years after joining, my dog got really sick, had blood coming out both ends. Spends a week in and out of the hospital. I thought he was dying, but luckily he survived. So I submit my first claim. They deny it with no explanation or message. I have to call customer service. Apparently they want ALL his vet bills EVER to verify that it's not a a pre-existing condition. After three years of nothing. Ok, fine I tell them to go get them. I hear nothing from them. I call again. They did not get the vet bills and their customer service rep threatens to hang up for swearing. Of course I'm mad, I'm spending tons of MY time calling them, trying to get them to do the job I already pay them to do. So I spend more of my time getting all the vet records (he's a rescue, no easy task, would've been MUCH easier THREE years ago when I joined.) They finally process my claim. They're only paying half of a very expensive bill. Turns out "Hospitalization" is covered but not the exam fee? What??? How does that even make sense. Sounds like a way to get out of paying short term hospitalization to me. Not to mention how much time and stress (3 customer service calls SO FAR) I've wasted just trying to get them to do their job. I specifically signed up for them bc I was led to believe they covered the big stuff. I guess not. So if you like being stressed out right after your pet almost dies, having a company implying you're a liar, not getting your money's worth, this is the company for you. Oh! And they also request the vet records because if you don't get that first exam per their requirement, they don't have to pay your first claim, even if you've been paying in. And they will look for it to get out of paying that claim. Scoundrels.
This was the best investment I ever made Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. It saved my dog's life. We would have spent the money anyway but having Healthy Paws made it a lot easier. They sell extended warranties for Cars & Trucks but vet bills are just as expensive. This company is great they paid 90% of Daisy's back surgery. She started walking again after three days after her surgery. The Hospital and surgeon were great. We love this little dog and she gives it back. Thank you Healthy Paws.
