Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

HealthyPaws is great. You want to make sure you understand your plan - they are very up front about what is covered. But once you know the lay of the land, it’s easy to navigate and very fast. They are reliable. The most important thing is that it helps you feel confident in going to the vet if your pup is sick - you can get them the help they need when they need it.

I have a 1yo Cavapoo. He is a happy and healthy little boy, but we had two incidents with his tummy last year that ended up expensive. At the time, I was moving and out of state, so it was nice to not worry about how much it would cost to help him, because I knew Healthy Paws had his back. It was super easy to file a claim and I had the reimbursement within a week of submitting. They even reached out to check on him shortly after. I was referred to Healthy Paws from a colleague and now I recommend Healthy Paws to any pet parent.

This is literally the WORST run business I have ever come across. I had to give our service dog back to Virginia Service Dogs and on August 8 I emailed and called to request transfer back. By NOVEMBER it was clear transfer did not happen and I was being charged 50 a month still. I called and emailed again and was assured the transfer would be "escalated." welp, folks here we are near February, and I am still being charged, no transfer and the service dog is still being insured by me, not her new owner. More calls and emails with promises of "escalation of transfer" today but I am not holding my breath. PLEASE save your sanity and do not do business with Healthy paws. Here is a claim number, true to form, the policy number is impossible to find:1019125-1-2

My baby girl was first diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis, which is uncommon in cats. I was devastated, but decided to take her to a specialist. Without the help of healthy paws, I wouldn't have been financially confident. Because I knew healthypaws will help, I proceeded with multiple exam. Luckily, I found out that it wasn't Laryngeal Paralysis!!! She is doing great now with medication.
