This is the first time I have used pet insurance and it has been a very positive experience. The response to my claim submission and the reimbursement was very fast. Being able to enter claims online and getting direct deposit reimbursement was so efficient. The follow up email inquiring about my dog's recovery was much appreciated.

Reliable Coverage, Fast Reimbursement

We enrolled Sandi in Healthy Paws Pet Insurance when she was 10 months old. Since her enrollment, she suffered a leg injury, a lost toe nail, infected throat, and a bladder problem. Reimbursement for the first claim took a day or two longer given the need to review her medical file to rule out pre-existing conditions. After the initial claim, the remaining reimbursements arrived within a day or two of filing the claim. I am so impressed with the service we received from Healthy Paws. Acknowledgement of claims and receipts were immediate, and reimbursements were fast. They even followed up to see how Sandi was doing after her treatments. I highly recommend Healthy Paws for anyone seeking pet insurance.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
