Life Saver!

My Italian Greyhound, Joey, has had some bad luck with his health since we got him. I'm so thankful that a friend of mine guided me to a review website for pet insurance where I saw fantastic reviews for Healthy Paws and decided to sign Joey up. It is definitely worth the $30 a month. Not only do I get a great reimbursement for his bills, but I always received an email asking how Joey is and that the company hopes he gets better soon. Customer service is wonderful.

THIS is THE ONE

My Standard Poodle George suddenly became very ill. He started throwing up and in two days also developed diarrhea. I attributed the regurgitation vigorous playing to the heat of Texas summer that is coming on and started feeding him later in the day and earlier in the morning. Once the pooping issues started I knew something more was going on. After pumpkin as a home remedy did not affect either symptom I made a late night trip to the critical care unit of our local vet specialty hospital. George was admitted immediately and was put on IV fluids. Blood was drawn, urine was taken and a fecal analysis was ordered. It was the holiday weekend (of course!) so the lab results came in slowly. The possibility of an obstruction was considered since things were coming out both ends... they ordered x-rays of his chest and his belly, not much was seen so an ultrasound was ordered. Nothing was there except for lots of fluid in his stomach. (thank God he did not need surgery!) FINALLY after a few days in the hospital the fecal came back. It was Giardia!! Now we knew what to do! George was treated with the appropriate medications and after a couple more days of fluids and IV medication he was released to come home. He is still on medication to get him well (2 weeks) and is feeling much better. I can not describe the feeling I had when the staff of the hospital presented me with his estimated bill that first night. It was bad enough that he was so ill- but now the stress of a hu

Best pup insurance

I decided to get my pup insurance and thank god for that. I filed a claim for his surgery and received payment for it not even a week later. Not to mention their care for my pup, they actually sent me a personalized email pertaining to the recovery of my dog, really felt refreshing to know they care. Amazing service!!Thanks healthy paws for taking care of my puppy!

So thankful for the help

I have two 4 yr. old Pit-mix girls, Hapa and Koko. (Sisters) they're active and play hard. One day while playing, Hapa suddenly stopped and limped over to me in obvious pain. I thought "Oh No!" I figured it was a cruciate injury because I had just gone through double TPLO surgeries for both of Koko's back legs.(just made 1 yr.) I took her in and her X-rays proved me right. After Koko's surgeries, which added up to around $10,000 at least, I looked into insurance for them. I found the good reviews and reasonable prices of Healthy Paws to be worth my investment. My husband wasn't so keen at the time, but boy is he sure happy now! There was a bit of confusion and frustration on my part at first. I'd never filed a claim in my life, let alone for my dog. Being the first claim, Healthy Paws needed Hapa's complete medical records. There was a bit of back and forth with the vet. They said they faxed everything and I'd get an email from Healthy Paws saying the records were incomplete. After the second and third notice and seeing the vet records in person saying they were faxed and faxed again. I'd call Healthy Paws and because of the time difference here in Hawai'i, the person would take a message. But then when they'd try to call during their business hours, I'd be at work and couldn't take the call. (My husband and I rappel off of waterfalls) I'm thankful for Healthy Paws persistence, because eventually everyone connected and the records were received and the claim was being pro

Healthy Paws has been simply amazing for us.

When we first decided to get pet insurance, I did lots and lots of research. I was so wary about all of the companies I was looking at. The ones with the best payouts had not so great reviews. I came across Healthy Paws when I was looking through my AAA magazine, and was very pleased with all the positive customer service reviews I saw. Almost 2 years later, I want to add to those positive reviews. From the beginning they have been amazing. The spring following our sign up with Healthy Paws, Seamus began showing symptoms of allergies. He had to be tested, diagnosed, and put on a daily serum. None of this was any problem whatsoever. Every claim was processed and mailed out within 48 hours. There was never any surprises either. My latest experience is what really made me want to share my experience with Healthy Paws. About a week and a half ago Seamus began throwing up. At first it seemed like an upset stomach, but two days later he was in surgery. He had a piece of a toy stuck in his intestines that needed to be removed. He came home the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. That was when I used the Healthy Paws App to take a picture of the invoice and file my claim. Within an hour, I received an email that the claim was being processed. Tuesday, the check was in the mail. From what I've heard of other insurance companies, even if it wasn't a holiday weekend this turnaround time was fabulous. Everything was covered. They even sent an email sending Seamus well
