Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Kudos to Healthy Paws on all fronts! Their app is incredibly easy to setup and use and it was effortless to submit a claim when the time unfortunately came. After submitting the claim, a Healthy Paws rep emailed right back saying they were working on the claim. In a mere few days my claim was processed and a check was sent in the mail with a clear description of what was covered, and how the reimbursement was calculated. Additionally, someone from Healthy Paws even followed up a short while later to ensure that everything was ok with the claims process as well as how our Dog was feeling! Bottom line - from the claim process to inquiries, etc. everything was easy and handled promptly and pleasantly.

Fast payment on claims, reasonable rates. I have anEnglish bulldog and he has required specialty care from an ophthalmologist and dermatologist.

My 6 yr old Frenchie had mass in the back of his throat discovered when he went in for a cracked molar. We were referred to a surgical speciialist because of where the growth was, even though it was benign. Luckily, when he had a lot of swelling post op they were able to save his life by doing a temporary tracheostomy. He is now a month out from his surgery and is a happy, healthy, funny boy again! Despite the stress of a tricky surgery and potential complications, our stress was somewhat allayed as Healthy Paws covered everything!! Thank you Healthy Paws!

My 9 yr old Frenchie, Sophie, came down with terrible diarrhea and wouldn't eat. We thought it was the same thing one of our others had come down with and she recovered in a day. Not Sophie! After a day we took her to the vet and she was hospitalized with severe dehydration, acute kidney failure, and was very weak. She was hospitalized for four days, getting IV fluids, antibiotics, and other supportive meds. She finally started recovering but we still don't know what it was and over a month later is fine. Our brand new policy paid as promised! Thank goodness! A godsend!

I was very skeptical about pet insurance after initially cancelling on trupanion because their claim process was horrendous and rates really shitty for what you get. I signed up with healthy paws and recently my dog had surgery for an intestinal blockage and healthy paws paid the claim in only 3 days. (Almost $4k). I was REALLY pleasantly surprised- other insurance companies find every way they can to avoid getting you your money. Healthy paws paid my claim with no questions asked. Their app is ridiculously easy to use- just take a pic of your invoice and you're DONE. Nothing to mail in. Additionally, their customer service is AMAZING and you can always get a kind helpful person on the phone- and they check up on you after an illness. I'm very satisfied.
