Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I recommend Healthy Paws to every dog owner I meet! Our Bichon Frise, Abbi who is almost 2 years old, became very sick. I can not imagine going through her illness without insurance. She was admitted to emergency three different times. The hospitals and tests ran thousands of dollars. We are so grateful that Abbi had Healthy Paws on her side! Everything about your company rocks! Great customer service, easy claims process and speedy reimbursement.

My 6 year old Boston Terrier detached both of his retinas shaking a toy with his head. I was completely distraught at the thought of my baby going blind while he still has so much energy and life in him. He could no longer go on hikes or be in the backyard along because he kept falling into our pool not being able to see the edge. When I got a quote for the surgery I immediately started crying, it was the cost of a car! I called Healthy Paws, still crying off and on and asked them what they would cover if anything. The woman who I spoke with was so kind and patient and automatically made me feel better. When she told me they would cover 80% I started crying again, but this time tears of joy! Not only did they reimburse me 80% but the check came extremely fast and I even got a few follow up emails asking if Clyde was ok and that the whole Healthy Paws family was sending him hugs and kisses. I have three dogs and two cats all currently enrolled with Healthy Paws. I have had to file multiple claims on my two Golden Retrievers as they both have had life threatening conditions. One has been treated for mast cell cancer and the other for hypothyroidism. Both have also had other health issues.

Healthy Paws was easy to work with and had a solid reimbursement in line with my typical coverage when my Maine Coon Frankie had an upset stomach. To diagnose his symptoms, we had to do a number of expensive tests and see a few different doctors. It was good to know HP would take care of us!

Healthy Paws has been a lifesaver. After thoroughly researching pet insurance options, Healthy Paws seemed to be the best fit for our needs and budget. I had hoped, of course, that my pet would be healthy and would never need to use the coverage. But about a month ago I learned that my dog had suffered life-threatening kidney damage as a result of Lyme disease. The treatments have not been extravagantly expensive, but enough to make me wonder how I was going to afford it. Fortunately, Healthy Paws came through for me, and I have been able to get the best treatment possible for my dog without worrying so much about the cost. Their customer service has been friendly and helpful, and they were quick to process my claim. The prognosis that my dog received was very scary, and I'm very grateful that I haven't had to stress about the finances as well. I would definitely recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who loves their pet and wants to be able to give them whatever medical help they need.
