Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

When Linus, a Coton de Tulear joined our family four years ago I made sure on investing on a good Pet insurance. I looked into a lot of insurers and decided to take a chance with Healthy Paws. I have to say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Healthy Paws has been such a blessing to us and Linus. They have come through for us in spades in two major health issues with our beloved pet. The first one was major stomach issue which required an endoscopy costing over two thousand dollars. At first, we were unsure whether Healthy Paws would actually reimburse the covered amount....and if so maybe the reimbursement would take ages. Nothing could be further from the truth. After submitting the invoices the funds came in less than a week, with no hassles or drama. The second unfortunate incident happened about a month ago when Linus was diagnosed with a herniated disc (Intervertebral disc extrusion). He was in danger of having his hind legs paralyzed and required immediate surgery. Upon hearing the entire cost of the procedure (MRI/Hemilaminectomy), our knees sort of buckled but we felt renewed hope knowing that Healthy Paws was going to be there for us. Thank God the procedure was a success and Linus is no longer in pain and recovering well. All throughout the process we were confident that Healthy Paws was going to back us up all the way. We even received a thoughtful email ten days after the surgery, checking in on Linus' progress! Through their help we will be able to enjoy more priceless years with our dear Linus. Healthy Paws is a cut above the rest and I would absolutely recommend them to any new or existing pet owner. Their customer service is exceptional and reliability is nothing short of outstanding. They don't just offer insurance but the peace of mind that they'll be there for you and your pet in the most trying of times.

When our Jack Russell, Rocky, got diagnosed with congestive heart failure the medical bills started to pile up quickly but with Health Paws we were able to get him the care that he needed without having the stress of wondering how we'd have to cover all of the specialist fees. When Rocky passed away, the Healthy Paws team sent us a hand written condolences card that meant to world to our family as we were grieving. We currently have Healthy Paws for our bulldog, Cenzo, and our puppy, Lucca. Cenzo has had a nasty spat with skin issues (yay bulldogs!) this year with dermatologist bills and medication costing a small fortune. Again, without fail, Healthy Paws has paid all of the claims quickly and without question. Aside from the great service, the mobile app is terrific. After a vet appointment I can just take a picture of the bill and submit instantly and within a few days we have a reimbursement check in the mailbox. I would highly recommend pet insurance for any pet owner. For our family, we will always use Health Paws - we can't recommend them strongly enough!

When we adopted our Zoe at 12 weeks, we had no idea she'd have so many health issues. In the past 10 months that we've had her, she was diagnosed with 3 major illnesses...2 of which will eventually need surgery. She also had 3 different emergencies. Healthy Paws covered EVERYTHING minus the things clearly stated they wouldnt. This makes things so much less stressful and makes us comfortable with the medical decisions we make regarding zoes care. For what they cover, its worth every cent we pay monthly. I cannot say enough good things about them and the customer service is TOP NOTCH!

I used to have another pet insurance with another company and Healthy Paws is definitely much better. It is affordable. I love the unlimited lifetime coverage. A 90% deductible is the highest deductible I have seen compare to other pet insurance. Submitting claims is super easy and I get my reimbursement check(s) right away. Although I wish they would cover preventative services as well (i.e. vaccinations, etc.) I still highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance to anyone looking for insurance for their furbabies.
