Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I can not say enough great things about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I was very hesitant to get pet insurance for my pup Winston but I'm so glad I did and I'm even more glad I chose Healthy Paws. My fur baby fell very ill and needed X-rays as well as medication for some bad tummy issues he was having. His vet bill was very high but I ended up only paying a very small portion of the bill thanks to Healthy Paws . I submitted the claim on a Sunday evening and got a email Monday morning that my reimbursement check was on it's way which I received that Thursday. Not only that Healthy Paws also emailed me asking how Winston is doing. They are a great company who truly care about animals and helping us pet parents get our fur babies the best care possible. If you're shopping for pet insurance you can't go wrong with Healthy Paws.

We purchased our first pet insurance for our third Corgi, not because we had particular problems before but it just seemed like it could be handy. Before he was even 3 months old we were faced with an ingested toy that needed to be gastrically removed. Healthy Paws to the rescue! Within our first year of puppyhood, our poor guy also had a hernia surgery and a second "foreign body" removal while he was with our pet sitter. Holy heck we've been glad to have Healthy Paws. They are quick to process claims for reimbursement and I love that you can upload invoices and check on claims directly via their app. The only reason I'm not giving them a full 5 stars is that we did have a direct payment authorized to our vet which was delayed--causing us to look a little flakey to our vet's office. Otherwise, great service, easy to use and fair prices. (we also love that you can choose your coverage and deductible levels)

We have a 3 year old mix puppy. Bella is the best little girl and we love her as if she were one of our children. We got her when she was 2 months, a rescue, her mom was found pregnant on the streets of Mexico. She has had several visits to the vets for minor issues and then I was covered. She recently had to have knee surgery a $2500 expense and that is very reasonable for this common but expensive procedure. Thankfully we had Healthy Paws and didn't have to hesitate to get Bella the Care she needed. I have had Healthy Paws from the start, and used them for minor things several times. Their claim process online is so simple and they have always paid what they were suppose to according to the policy. Their payments are also been very timely. A great company that provides the best service.

Healthy Paws has been wonderful. My 17.8 year old Bichon Frise needed spine surgery in May 2017. Healthy Paws they didn't hesitate in providing coverage. Not only did they reimburse me promptly, but their customer service is wonderful -- kind and courteous. They even followed up with me to see how Cody was doing. Their coverage is very generous. I recommend them to every pet owner I talk to. If and when we decide to adopt another dog in the future, I won't hesitate to use Healthy Paws again, I would sign up on day one.

We are so happy that we picked Healthy Paws as our pet insurance carrier. My Lovey was bitten in January by a stray dog and it costed us $2000. So we bought insurance for her in March to get a piece of mind. With our bad luck, Lovey was limping in June. After couple vets' visits it was determined that she needed surgery. Healthy Paws pay 90% of the costs and they approved the claims in 4 calendar days! I am so impressed with their efficiencies and they send us email in inquiry about Lovey after her surgery. They really care about our pets!
