Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have has an amazing experience with Healthy Paws insurance. Before having insurance, we had to put down our dog down at a young age due to cancer and did not have insurance to pay for the very expensive surgery (even though the chances for her to live were very slim). We now have two crazy, healthy (large) pups and pet insurance from HealthyPaws. Our girl pup has had to go to the vet/emergency room multiple times for different things including a nasty stomach bug and torn carpal pad. Thanks to pet insurance we were able to give her the best care possible! HealthyPaws provides such a great service. It is super easy to contact them, submit a claim and we received the checks in the mail within a couple of weeks. They even reached out to check on our pup after being injured. It is with the highest regard that I recommend Heathy Paws as your choice for pet insurance. They are dependable, courteous & caring. Our dog, Pepper, had been covered for almost 5 years when he was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. Quickly thereafter, he started to suffer from complications caused by the diabetes like diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) & cataracts. Pepper was hospitalized overnight with the DKA. And a month later, Pepper was afflicted with cataracts. The cataracts came on so fast that he was blinded within 3 days. He was very depressed & it was a dark time for us all (we padded the furniture with pillows so soften the blow when he ran into them). He had to rely on us to give him verbal commands to veer left, right or edge up or down. A couple weeks later, we had Pepper undergo cataract surgery & he has since regained his eyesight. He is so much more spirited & happy; it is as if he were born again! It is an incredible thing to experience your dog’s reaction to being able to see again after he has lost his eyesight. I said all of that to say this, Healthy Paws Insurance came through for us by quickly receiving, acknowledging, processing our claims & reimbursing us. They have been a real pleasure to work with. Charlie is our 11-month old Shih-Tzu. He was never sick until a few weeks ago when he had a viral gastroenteritis and needed admission to the hospital for IV fluids and medication for nausea. He recovered quickly but Healthy Paws was very quick taking care of our claim. They also follow-up on Charlie's condition after he left the hospital which was a nice way to truly care about his condition. We were very impressed with the way everything was handle and we would recommend Healthy Paws to everyone out there who loves their pets.
