Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

This is the note I sent to them after my dog's sudden, serious illness. To those who I spoke to, and those who processed my claim, I want to say a very big thank you. It was a struggle getting my husband to agree to pet insurance for a two year old dog. Obviously, I won that debate and I am currently walking around gloating with an " I told you so " kinda smirk on my face. The courtesy and kindness from all of those involved was so helpful and appreciated. And the promptness in processing my claims was also appreciated as I am retired and the bills will be coming due soon. Thank you once again. I have filed a couple of claims in the past few years (I have two wonderful four-legged babies) and time after time, Healthy Paws has offered easy and quick service. I have received my reimbursement check in less than two weeks after filing the claim. I highly recommend them. You would not be disappointed.

Our 3-1/2 year old Labradoodle had two cruciate ligament operations this year. One surgery for each hind leg. Healthy Paws reimbursed 80% less the $250 deductible within ten days of submittal (both operations cost in excess of $6000.00). HP even followed up to see how Abby was doing. This is better insurance for a reasonable premium than my wife and I have. Thank you Healthy Paws. I'll be a customer as long as I have pets.

Without Healthy Paws Pet insurance my puppy would have died. He ate a wooded skewer with chicken on it whole. After 3 emergency vet visits (happened after hours) they could not find it on an x-ray or sonogram. Finally my Vet did exploratory surgery and the skewer was removed just in time before really serious damage was done. It started to go through his stomach. All of this added up to $2,400 Healthy Paws paid the 80% minus my deductible of $200.00 and the $99.00 initial exam. Only out of pocket about $900.00 I have tried another insurance before that wouldn't pay for anything. Healthy Paws paid my claims no questions asked. Make sure you have your pet's medical records electronically and keep all of your receipts. FYI no Pet insurances pay for preventative or parasites.
