Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We adopted Ellie as a puppy from our local Humane Society. Decided we should purchase insurance "just in case." We read reviews, decided to go with Healthy Paws, and are so pleased with our choice. Ellie developed a bone deformity in her front leg as she grew out of puppyhood. Healthy Paws paid (less deductible) for the major surgery to correct the deformity, and also the resulting need for physical therapy. Thousands of dollars have been paid on her behalf by Healthy Paws. Don't know what we would have done without the coverage. And we were contacted by Healthy Paws to see how Ellie was doing after her surgery. Imagine that in this day and age! Prompt payment of each claim has been made. We tell our friends about Healthy Paws, and are so pleased to have coverage with them. The very best to work with!

I ve had Healthy Paws for almost two years now. Happy with the service. Although they are not covering the cost of the visit itself, its still a good coverage for major medical expenses. Claim submission process is easy, processing time is reasonable.

Without Healthy Paws, we would not be able to give the best care that our problematic frenchie needs. His problems range from allergies, knee problems, and breathing problems, but thanks to Healthy Paws, we are able to see the best doctors and specialists so that we can continue to have best quality of life we can provide him with. Healthy Paws has processed countless claims for us quickly, both on a consistent monthly basis for our dogs prescription medication, and for large emergency claims like surgery. Lastly, their customer service representatives are always helpful and courteous, and genuinely care about your pet. I don't know how we could have financially supported this dog with the medical services that he has been provided without Healthy Paws.

I was skeptical of pet insurance. When we adopted our dog Abby, she came with a packet on insurance from Healthy Paws for a reasonable monthly charge. After losing our previous pet to cancer, and since i could cancel the policy at any time, I tried it. I have made at least 4 Vet claims for Abby since then. The process worked exactly as advertised. Explanation of Claims are emailed and are clear, concise, and understandable. My last claim was for surgery amounting to $2,895.51. $118 for an exam charge was not covered, but $2,777.51 was. My check arrived 7 days after Abby's surgery! If only Human Insurance was this easy and straightforward! We couldn't be more pleased with Healthy Paws' prompt and courteous service.

My 5-lb little dog was taken from a kill shelter. He developed premature clouding of the lens of his eye & was rapidly losing the bit of vision he had. Surgery was recommended as soon as possible & Healthy Paws came to the rescue! The evaluation (testing, workup and subsequent surgery) were expensive, but Healthy Paws reimbursed 80% of my costs after my deductible was satisfied, & did so in an incredibly short period of time. Interaction with customer service was (& continues to be) professional, courteous & efficient, & I really have the feeling that this company sincerely cares about providing the best possible health care for my pup. Adoption & rescue is always a tough issue, since you take a pup as you get him & you always hope that you can provide the best for them. Healthy Paws has made that possible for me! Thank you
