Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Love healthy paws and very grateful we had it when our young dog Zoey took sick and had to be hospitalized .. the claim processing was fairly quickly and reimubursement also into my bank account .. customer service very helpful to answering all my questions

Buyer beware. I recently purchased a plan with an 80% reimbursement and a $500 annual deductible. I submitted my first claim for $23 which was processed. However, they don't actually apply the full $23 to the deductible. They take 80% of the $23 ($18 in this example) and apply that to the deductible. So, you actually have to submit $625 in expenses before they begin to pay 80%. In all my years of insurance I've never seen or heard of anyone administering a plan like this. It's incredible deceptive. I reviewed my contract and certificate and nowhere in the documentation does it say that's how it's done. They have every right to administer as they see fit but they should be very clear up front about exactly how this works. It's a $625 deductible you are paying for.

If my dog needs a procedure, I don't hesitate because of cost because I know I will get a lot of money back through Healthy Paws. It's really great peace of mind! Submitting a claim is incredibly easy and I get my money back through direct deposit. The team has even followed up after a surgery claim to see how my dog was recovering.

I've had a couple of claims now and they've both gone super great. They really do cover what they say they'll cover and they don't make you jump through 100 hoops to get what you paid for.

The service I received was unbelievably good. I submitted a claim last night at 7pm and it was processed and approved by 11am this morning. The app is extremely easy to use. So glad I have them for my pet insurance.
