Healthy Paws saved our tripawed cat!

The hope of pet insurance is that you never have to use it. I have been a customer with Healthy Paws for two years before actually needing them! Unfortunately, life happens. Our cat ripped all ligaments in his knee and needed an immediate amputation. Pet care sometimes puts the owner in an impossible position. The expense toll it can take is incredible but having Healthy Paws backing me up made the choice easy. Once I submitted the paperwork via their easy to use app, it only took a week for the checks to arrive at my house. They covered 80% of the incredibly expensive surgery. Their customer service was knowledgeable and empathetic. The only downside is you have to pay upfront which can be challenging if you don't have a credit card to charge. I will preach pet insurance for the rest of my life after this! Healthy Paws was great! I am not sure how it will affect my monthly payment yet, though.

Healthy Paws is easy to work with

We've been very happy with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. We're new to having pet insurance and were reluctant to purchase it, but with 3 dogs it seemed necessary. Healthy Paws is easy to work with, they do just what they say (!) and they are very prompt in paying claims. I especially appreciate how easy they make it to check everything online.....payments, progress of claims etc. I highly recommend Healthy Paws.

Great coverage. Quick reimbursement

It was amazing and how well covered my dog surgery wise and how quick the reimbursement took place. I also surprisingly received an inquiry as to how my dog was doing. Fantastic job

First Claim process is HORRIBLE

I have to say the claim submission was pretty easy....UNTIL...they sent me multiple emails about needing more medical records. It turns out the paperwork I get from the VET is not good enough. They need the records that include all Vet notes, lab results the whole nine yards. They tell you this is not normally given to the client so I have to call and make a special request to get my vet to give me this info. Are you kidding me? Why can't they call the vet if they need extra detailed paperwork that the vet doesn't give the client? Canceling today after reading about the premium increases.

Peace of mind when your dog is sick

We have a Healthy Paws policy on our three dogs. Two of our dogs have never had a claim, but when our 5 year old lab started having high fevers every few months without us being able to determine the source of the fevers we knew we had to take her to the University for evaluation. She had to be hospitalized twice with fevers ranging from 105 to 107 and she was very sick with pain all over.... she is the sweetest dog so this was hard to watch and harder still to not know why or what we could do. Having the insurance allowed us to focus on our dog's needs and not be stressed because we couldn't afford the diagnostics needed, or the medicine that now she is on long term. She is doing great now, on her meds, and we are cautiously optimistic we've been able to find a treatment for what they discovered was an autoimmune disease that gets triggered by some unknown thing, and she reacts with severe multisystem inflammation. We are so appreciative that HealthyPaws was there, and never once gave any indication that they would not help and support Callie's recovery. Their claim process is easy and fast which helps when the bills are huge. I cannot recommend HealthyPaws enough! Thank you.
