Would recommend this strategy for any dog owner. You never know when catastrophic events may impact your dog - we went from a healthy, vibrant dog one Saturday morning to a dog needing to be admitted to the local pet hospital less than 24 hours later and surgery to remove a blockage less than 24 hours after admission! Healthy Paw policy documents made it clear what was covered and what was not (e.g. exam fees), claim submission is all by document upload, and emails keep you updated on status. Our dog is now bounced back to good health and we're not managing an out sized unexpected payment for his care.
