Beware of steep price hikes

I went with Healthy Paws years ago at least in part after reading reviews on Per Insurance Review. Unfortunately I've found myself progressively more dissatisfied overtime. Before I signed up they indicated to me that their annual price increases would be "manageable" and "easy to budget." Generally I would have agreed with that but this year alone received an increase of over 75% from the year prior - forcing me to decrease my coverage in order to fit our budget and am now up to 300-400% of my original rate. I'm honestly a bit worried how their increases will go from here on out. Response time has also gotten worse. In the past I received relatively quick responses to my inquiries but now I regularly have to resend my requests after weeks of no responses.

Healthy Paws Highly Recommend

Our dog had tests, surgery and meds - EXPENSIVE. We did not expect it but Healthy Paws covered most of the costs! We chose well because Healthy Paws was truly there for us when we needed them most.

FEELING SO LUCKY

Our dog’s CCL went so she was on 3 legs. Tests and surgery and meds cost a LOT! Close to $5,000. I remembered I had bought pet insurance, but honestly did not expect very much. I had to look up what I had bought in 2016, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Their rep explained what was necessary to file a claim, their website easy to use and they kept me apprised to the progress of my claim via emails. The check came pretty quick but what was astounding was the amount. I did the math and Healthy Paws paid out more than I had put in. Who does that? Healthy Paws proved to me why they are #1. They were there when I needed them. I am loyal customer now.

Worth It!

I am so glad that I was able to enroll my pup in this health insurance! She recently had a major knee surgery and the bill literally overwhelmed me.. I knew deep down inside that she needed this surgery to recover and be able to live a long healthy life. If it wasn't for knowing that healthy paws was behind my dog's health bills, I don't know how I would've managed to financially provide for my dog's surgery. Whenever I had questions or concerns, their customer service was stellar as well. They were ALWAYS willing to listen to my concern and help in any way. Even though I enrolled her later in life as opposed to enrolling her when I got her as a puppy, I am a true believer in being better off late than being sorry. I give Healthy Paws 5+!
