Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I highly recommend using Healthy Paws, they delivered on their promises. The process is easy and reimbursement turnaround was usually 12 to 14 days. Healthy Paws enabled us to know we gave the last few months for our Pug Arnie good medical treatment. We're very appreciative of their service during a very difficult period. A friend insisted we obtained pet insurance soon as we brought our puppy home and that was excellent advice. I never would have expected to go through what we did with Arnie only three years old.

Healthy Paws is so wonderful. Easy to file a claim and quick reimbursement! Customer service is friendly and caring. Great to have when your dog eats socks and tampons. Sigh.

I've been covered by Healthy Paws for many years, including the last 8 for my current cat. I've recently had to submit a series of claims for a recent issue, and the process couldn't be easier. I simply access their website and upload the vet invoice. If they need clarification, I assume they contact the vet, because I've never had to substantiate the claim. Within 2-3 days they have processed the claim and direct deposited the payment into my account. They cover everything except the doc's fee (I have 90% coverage) and there is a $100 annual deductible. And of course they don't cover pre-existing conditions.

I've had Healthy Paws for my very energetic 5yo lab/pit mix since she was a puppy. With insurance, you always wonder if the monthly premium is worth it. Two weeks ago, I was reminded why pet insurance is so important and, in particular, I recommend insurance from Healthy Paws to everyone. My dog suffered a comminuted fracture of her front leg that required a nighttime pet ER visit and follow-up surgery, the out-of-pocket cost of which was nearly $7000 (and which will likely increase a bit with her follow up Xrays, etc.). When the ER vet told me the estimated cost over the phone, I was so thankful that we had subscribed to a generous policy from Healthy Paws. I didn't have to make a difficult decision about whether to go through with the reconstructive surgery (vs. amputation) or to ask friends and family for financial assistance. I filed my claim online the next day, and it was processed and reimbursement sent in 5 days. The online interface is very easy to use and the entire process was seamless and efficient. Healthy Paws even followed up to check on Bo, which I really appreciated. I've been recommending them to all of my friends with pets, and I recommend them to you, too.

Amazing claims process. It took less than a minute to submit the claim for our dog’s $3k surgery by taking a pic of the invoice in their app and hitting submit. We received reimbursement by direct deposit in 4 business days.
