EXCELLENT !! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!
I did considerable research with various pet insurance companies before signing up with Figo only about 3 weeks ago for my new Giant Schnauzer puppy, now 11 weeks old. Figo's customer service representative, Jennifer, was so far above and beyond all others in her expert knowledge of both the policy options, coverage, and also of veterinary practices.....she was just very impressive. I didn't feel like I was speaking to a phone operator who had been trained in a "sales pitch"....but rather someone who is truly expert in her field. The Figo coverage options vs. premiums are better than all other companies I researched. So I signed up with Figo after Jennifer spent considerable time on the phone answering my questions. She is so impressive because she knows what she's talking about, doesn't sugar coat anything with a "smooth sales pitch", but just provides hard fact information in an exceptionally pleasant and accommodating manner. But the true "meat of the matter" of an insurance company and chosen policy.....is their claims process and payment of claims. Well, as luck would have it, (or lack thereof) with this new puppy......some Advil capsules spilled on the floor late in the evening on Labor Day weekend.......and although it was thought that all caps were properly picked up off the floor......a little while later, the puppy was found with an Advil in her mouth......and no telling if she had ingested more than what was found in her mouth or not.......seriously? At midnight on a Fri nite of a holiday weekend? ......off to the ER clinic we went. There was a 5 day waiting period for accidents on the Figo policy. Can't believe my good fortune, that this accident happened 7 days after signing up with Figo. You can be sure that ER clinic visits on a holiday weekend and the additional testing needed were quite a significant expense. Well.....Jennifer was every bit as pleasant, helpful, and expert in helping me with the claims process as she was at policy sign up time. Today, a deposit was made to my account, reimbursing me what I was expecting according to my policy choices. I am very pleased with my choice of Figo, and with all of the interactions I've had with them. Impressive customer service as applies to claims process and reimbursement. I'll be recommending Figo to all of my students and friends. (I'm a dog trainer, and my students number in the hundreds annually). BTW.....puppy has recovered fully, and is bouncing around happily. What a relief to have had insurance that was in effect when facing the late nite ER visit fees.
