read the fine print carefully
I purchased this pet insurance in June 2025. I had another pet insurance provider prior to that my Shih Tzu who is six developed an ear infection. The vet bill for the ear infection was $525. Fetch only covered $25.. And none of the $500 remaining went toward the annual deductible. It was explained that because he had had an ear infection over a year ago with my other pet insurance. It was considered a pre-existing condition even though the previous ear infection had completely cleared up. So I was then told well I should’ve gone back to the vet after his ear infection cleared up to confirm that his ear infection was no longer existing. It was never explained to me that an ear infection would be considered a pre-existing condition since dogs pretty commonly get ear infections, but they are cleared up easily with medications. The representative went on to explain to me that I should’ve read the fine print before purchasing the insurance because my puppy was six years old when I bought the insurance. I would not recommend fetch pet insurance to anyone. Nothing was explained to me correctly and I’m out a lot of money because I trusted that the ear infection and allergy would be covered.
