If you ever make a claim, expect to pay much much more.
We've been a client for two years. We made our first claim this past year for a transient gastro issue that was cleared up by some antibiotics, and while the payout took some time, we were satisfied. However! When our policy came up for renewal this year, the premium was jacked up by $181 - a 54% increase. We feel that we've been suckered by a bait-and-switch. We're incredibly unhappy and don't feel inclined to trust them anymore.
Edit: In response to Fetch Pet's comments: You keep pasting in the same response to all of your clients here who are being hit with huge increases. A 7-year-old healthy indoor cat is not a risky bet, and your customer service rep on the phone's response was essentially "*shrug* that's how insurance works".
This despite the fact that your website explicitly states that rates do not go up after a claim.
We are still weighing whether to keep Pippin with you, as I have no reason to believe that you are not going to jack the price up again next year, but you can be sure we no longer trust you enough to enrol our new kitten.
